T.I. FREE ON 3 MILION DOLLAR BAIL
At a hearing this afternoon, T.I. was finally freed on $3 million bond while he awaits his weapons trial, according to the Associated Press. U.S. Magistrate Judge Alan Baverman said the rapper must remain under house arrest and will be monitored 24 hours a day by a private monitoring service that he is paying for. Upon his release, the judge reportedly said, “You shouldn’t do anything that will undermine their ability to represent you.” If convicted, Tip could face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count.

NO BAIL FOR T.I. ,BUT ATLANTIC WAS GONNA HELP.THATS BIG.
Attorneys representing T.I. in his federal weapons case asked the judge on Friday morning (October 19) to release their client on $2.2 million bond and place him under home confinement with electronic monitoring. The King of the South would also have to surrender his passport, submit to random searches of his residence and drug testing. According to the Associated Press, attorney Ed Garland even suggested that the court place a person at Tip’s home to monitor activities there. Prosecutors argued that, because of his prior criminal record, and considering the nature of his alleged crime, he poses a flight risk and is a danger to the community. The AP reports that several record executives, some from Tip’s label—Atlantic Records—were present in the courtroom and were prepared to offer a signature bond in excess of $1 million. The hearing is likely to continue into the afternoon, check for updates.

T.I MAY GET HOUSE ARREST
Multiple sources within T.I.'s camp inform me that T.I., real name, Clifford Harris Jr., could get house arrest if his lawyers plead successfully at a hearing this Friday. T.I.'s lawyers will seek an order similar to the pre-sentence order that suspended Falcons quarterback Mike Vick is currently under. Vick tested positive for marijuana last month and was ordered by a federal judge to remain on house arrest every night while awaiting sentencing on a dogfighting charge.
T.I. was arrested last Saturday after attempting to take possession of machine guns and silencers from his bodyguard in a shopping center parking lot. A bail hearing in federal court on Monday (10/15) was postponed until Friday (10/19).
In an interview with the AJC following Monday's hearing, Steve Sadow, one of T.I.'s lawyers said he requested Harris's bond hearing be postponed until Friday to give the defense team more time to prepare. But sources say Sadow and another of T.I.'s lawyers, Dwight Thomas, are preparing to ask U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman to place T.I. on house arrest under electronic surveillance or require him to wear an ankle monitoring device as a condition of his bond. "This would ensure the public's safety as well as allow [T.I.] to continue to support his family until his trial comes up," said a source who is familiar with the case.
But a prominent Atlanta attorney said T.I.'s background will be a factor in the judge's decision - "I understand [T.I.] violated his probation with a previous gun charge, not to mention the felony conviction on drug charges in Cobb County," said the attorney, who asked to remain anonymous. "The judge will also take into consideration the company that the young man keeps," said the attorney referring to the two rappers signed to T.I.'s label who were named in the federal affidavit for allegedly providing T.I. with guns. "All of those factors will weigh heavily against him when he goes before the judge," the attorney explained.

THE GUNS T.I. HAD @ THE CRIB
The Feds held a press conference today in downtown Atlanta to display the collection of revolvers, automatic rifles, machine guns and pistols found in rapper T.I.'s home and car. Nothing unusual here: one would normally find guns like these in a collector's home. The fact that the collector is a convicted felon and popular rapper who obtained the weapons by illegal means is what makes this is a national news story.

JERMAINE JACKSON IS BROKE.......CHECK IT
Jermaine Jackson is unemployed and broke. He states, “I currently do not have any employment” and “I do not have any income from which to pay support.” This support is what is supposed to go to his estranged wife Alejandra Jackson who is the mother of two of his eight children, Jaffar and Jermajesty. Alejandra, who also has two teenage children from a previous relationship with Jermaine’s youngest brother Randy and has been living with Jackson’s mother Katherine for quite sometime, claims that she is broke as hell and only makes $81 a month.
