Police arrested Remy Ma yesterday for the attempted murder of her childhood friend and sometime babysitter, Makeda Barnes-Joseph. What had happened was, Remy, Makeda and some other girls were at The Pizza Bar in Manhattan celebrating a friend's 25th birthday. At some point Makeda was holding purses. They left the club in separate cars and Remy discovers money missing from her bag. She ALLEDGELY jumped out of her Escalade at the light, ran up on Makeda's car, accused her of taking the money and busts off two shots. Then she jumped back into her truck, but crashed it into a car two blocks later and escaped in a cab. Remy and Makeda (pictured above) have known each other for 15 years.

Grammy-nominated rapper Remy Ma was arrested Saturday on charges of attempted murder in a shooting outside a trendy Manhattan nightspot, police said.

The 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is Remy Smith, had been sought for questioning in the shooting of a 23-year-old woman early Saturday after a verbal dispute near a bar in the Meatpacking District. She reported to police Saturday evening and was also arrested on charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

The rapper's manager said Saturday that she could not talk and referred calls to Remy Ma's attorney, who was with the rapper as she reported to police.

"I ask everyone to keep an open mind," attorney Scott Leemon said. "Things are not always as they seem."

He said an arraignment would be likely be held on Sunday.

A 911 call reporting gunfire led police to a woman with a gunshot wound. Three blocks away, officers discovered a luxury SUV owned by Remy Ma; the vehicle had been involved in a single-car crash and abandoned, police said.

The victim, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, was in stable condition at a hospital.

Sasha Tcherekoff, owner of the Pizza Bar, said a review of security videotape taken inside his nightspot showed the rapper and her friends having a good time before they exited.

"The police have indicated to us that the altercation happened a block away," the owner said. "The security tapes determined there was no physical or verbal altercation while they were in the Pizza Bar."

When he got to suspected tumbler tosser, T.I. allegedly struck the individual with his microphone, and the bloody patron was quickly escorted out of the hotel.

Calls to T.I.’s reps were not immediately returned.

Hot 97 radio personality Tarsha Jones has joined the “I’ve had sex with industry people, now I’m gonna write a book club” writing Have You Met Miss Jones? The Life and Loves of Radio’s Most Controversial Diva.

NY Daily News gives a round-up of some interesting topics covered in the book including sex with Busta Rhymes, a booty-looking-at Jay-Z, and Lil’ Kim:

“With Busta, it was only sex,” Jones writes in her tell-all “Have You Met Miss Jones? The Life and Loves of Radio’s Most Controversial Diva” (Ballantine). “I learned not to trust a proposal of marriage made in bed.” The rapper gets one great big compliment in the motor-mouthed memoir. “Busta was as gentle as he could be, because he was packing,” Jones writes. “Busta’s lovemaking was not for the timid or faint of heart.” But, Jones adds, “The fact that our lovemaking never lasted too long didn’t bother me, because I didn’t enjoy his drops of sweat raining down on me.” Afterward, “Busta would stroll around the apartment butt-naked, then shower and go into the kitchen and fry an egg sandwich - for himself. Blige fell onstage during Hot-97’s Summer Jam last year, Jones was glad, because Blige forgot to thank her at the mike. “Karma is a bitch,” Jones writes in the book, which she’ll sign at Borders on Columbus Circle next Wednesday night.

KRS-ONE'S SON FOUND DEAD

Randy Hubbard-Parker, son of rap pioneer KRS-One, was found dead (July 1) after committing suicide.

The 23-year-old was found in his Atlanta apartment over the weekend with a gunshot wound to the head. According to his mother Simone G. Parker, he had been battling "severe depression."

A private memorial will be held for Parker on July 18, on what would have been his 24th birthday. A New York memorial service is soon to follow.
