According to the Jersey Journal, In limbo Wu-Tang Clan member, U-God has been living in fear that that associates of the group are out to kill him. He is so scared that back in June he contacted Jersey City, New Jersey Police for protection.
The paper reports that random dudes have been following him from his home in Jersey City to his Manhattan studio motivated by what he believes is his lawsuit against the group. As you’ll remember, U-God whose real name is Lamont Hawkins, filed a $170,000 lawsuit (peanuts really) against Wu Music Group for back pay for an advance on the group’s latest album 8 Diagrams, royalties, and unpaid tour money.
Although he sounds a bit paranoid if you ask me, U-God claims that over the past few months vehicles with out-of-state plates have followed him numerous times, but because there’s a basic distrust for cops in this Hip Hop thang he didn’t report it. Yeah I get followed by cars with out-of-state plates too, that’s why its called an Interstate.
In once incident, he reports that he saw two men get out of a whip. One of them gestured toward his belt as if to insinuate that he had some heat. This was the incident that he said finally sparked him to contact police and filed a suspicious persons report.
