Police say they arrested a Kansas City teenager after her 2-year-old child and two other toddlers ate crack cocaine.
Police say 17-year-old Tasha Cole admitted that she left the children with a friend while she went out to sell drugs earlier this week. Jackson County prosecutors on Thursday charged Cole with four felony counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Court records show that she returned to find the youngsters playing with a plate where she had cut the cocaine. After Cole told relatives what had happened, police said, one of them wanted the children to be taken to a hospital. At first Cole balked, but she took her son to a hospital when he had a seizure.
